Non-Executive Director (Clinical)
Recruitment
Welcome
Thank you very much for your interest in becoming a member of our Board of Directors and Chair designate of Board Quality Committee.
I hope you find the role description appealing and meet the person specification.
As a Non-Executive Director (NED) your role will be to work alongside other NEDs, the Chair of the Trust and the Executive Directors as equal members of the unitary Board; using your skills, knowledge and expertise to direct the work of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will have an important part to play in forging strong links with our Council of Governors which is responsible for holding the NEDs to account for the performance of the Board.
We are looking for an experienced and clinically qualified individual to join our board and to deputise for the Quality Committee Chair (in readiness to become Chair of the Quality Committee thereafter).
If you believe you have experience of managing change in complex situations, an ability to bring partners together to achieve common goals, and a clear and demonstrable commitment to living and leading to our Trust values (Kindness, Openness, Excellence) I hope you will explore this role further through this microsite and then contact GatenbySanderson for a confidential conversation. This is an opportunity to contribute to the effective leadership of an organisation that plays a critical role both as an anchor institution and as a part of the Hull York Medical School.
I look forward to meeting you during the recruitment process. But if you want to speak with me to help you decide whether to apply or not, I would be happy to do so via Gatenby Sanderson.
With my best wishes
Martin Barkley, Chair
